M Patrick Carroll is not your average sales manager. He’s the president of Uplift Family, a company specializing in developing and managing multifamily communities throughout the United States. Michael has been an integral part of the development team at Uplift for over 10 years, spearheading the sale of four multifamily communities via Carroll. The American Reporter had a chance to speak with Michael about his career and his thoughts on what it takes to be successful in real estate today.

One of the things that makes Michael so successful is his ability to think outside the box. “You have to be creative in this business,” he says. “There are no guarantees, and you have to be able to adapt quickly.” This creativity has helped him achieve success in various areas, including land development, construction management, and asset management. One of his recent developments – The Reserve at Cane Island – was honored with an award from the Houston Apartment Association.

Michael’s passion for real estate is evident in everything he does. M Patrick Carroll loves working with clients and developing relationships with them. “The best part of my job is getting to know people and helping them find their dream home,” he says.

Michael’s career in real estate began many years ago when he was just a teenager. His parents were buying investment properties and renting them out to college students at Tulane University. “I would go meet tenants during move-in day,” Michael recalls, “and I loved it.” He pursued an undergraduate degree in business administration before earning his MBA from The University of Texas McCombs School of Business.
